DESCRIPTION
DTC B2250 is stored when there is a malfunction in the closer pulse sensor circuit of the luggage door closer assembly and when a normal waveform is not input for the closer pulse during power trunk lid operation.
DTC No. | Detection Item | DTC Detection Condition | Trouble Area |
---|---|---|---|
B2250 | PBD/PTL Closer Operation | While the luggage door closer assembly is operating, a malfunction in the position information from the position sensors are detected within a certain amount of time. |

PROCEDURE
1. | CHECK FOR DTC |
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the power switch on (IG).
(c) Turn the Techstream on.
(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Back Door / Trouble Codes.
(e) Clear the DTCs.
Body Electrical > Back Door > Clear DTCs(f) Check for DTCs.
Body Electrical > Back Door > Trouble CodesOK:
DTC B2250 is not output.
OK | USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK |
|
2. | CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (LUGGAGE CLOSER MOTOR ASSEMBLY - LUGGAGE DOOR CLOSER ASSEMBLY) |
(a) Disconnect the R7 luggage closer motor assembly connector.
(b) Disconnect the R18 luggage door closer assembly connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
Tester Connection | Condition | Specified Condition |
---|---|---|
R7-16 (CSG) - R18-4 (CPSE) | Always | Below 1 Ω |
R7-17 (CS2) - R18-9 (CPS2) | Always | Below 1 Ω |
R7-18 (CS1) - R18-2 (CPS1) | Always | Below 1 Ω |
R7-19 (CSV) - R18-3 (CPS+) | Always | Below 1 Ω |
R7-16 (CSG) or R18-4 (CPSE) - Body ground | Always | 10 kΩ or higher |
R7-17 (CS2) or R18-9 (CPS2) - Body ground | Always | 10 kΩ or higher |
R7-18 (CS1) or R18-2 (CPS1) - Body ground | Always | 10 kΩ or higher |
R7-19 (CSV) or R18-3 (CPS+) - Body ground | Always | 10 kΩ or higher |
NG | REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR |
|
3. | CHECK LUGGAGE CLOSER MOTOR ASSEMBLY |
(a) Reconnect the R7 luggage closer motor assembly connector.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
Tester Connection | Condition | Specified Condition |
---|---|---|
R18-4 (CPSE) - Body ground | Always | Below 1 Ω |
(c) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage:
Tester Connection | Condition | Specified Condition |
---|---|---|
R18-2 (CPS1) - Body ground | Power switch on (IG), power trunk lid not operate | 7 V or higher |
R18-3 (CPS+) - Body ground | Power switch on (IG), power trunk lid not operate | 7 V or higher |
R18-9 (CPS2) - Body ground | Power switch on (IG), power trunk lid not operate | 7 V or higher |
NG | REPLACE LUGGAGE CLOSER MOTOR ASSEMBLY |
|
4. | CHECK LUGGAGE DOOR CLOSER ASSEMBLY |
(a) Disconnect R18-8 (M+) and R18-1 (M-) from the luggage door closer assembly connectors.
(b) Reconnect the R18 luggage door closer assembly connector.
(c) Using an oscilloscope, check the waveform.
