DESCRIPTION

Forward recognition camera receives the vehicle information from the ECM via CAN communication.

DTC U030057 is stored when the vehicle information from the ECM and that stored in the forward recognition camera do not match.

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

NOTICE:

  • When replacing the forward recognition camera, always replace it with a new one. If a forward recognition camera which was installed to another vehicle is used, the information stored in the forward recognition camera will not match the information from the vehicle. As a result, a DTC may be stored.
  • If the forward recognition camera has been replaced with a new one, be sure to perform forward recognition camera adjustment.

    HINT:

    Forward recognition camera adjustment can be performed by using either One Time Recognition or Sequential Recognition.

PROCEDURE

1.

CHECK FOR DTCs

(a) Check for DTCs of SFI system.

GO TO SFI SYSTEM

CHECK FOR DTCs (HEALTH CHECK)

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the engine switch on (IG)

(c) Turn the Techstream on.

(d) Enter the following menus: System Select / Health Check.

(e) Check for DTCs.

(f) Turn the engine switch off.

OK:

DTCs indicating a vehicle information mismatch with that of the ECM are not output by any ECU other than the forward recognition camera.

3.

READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the engine switch on (IG)

(c) Turn the Techstream on.

(d) Enter the following menus: Chassis / Front Recognition Camera / Data List.

(e) Read the Data List according to the display on the Techstream.

HINT:

  • If the vehicle information stored in the forward recognition camera is different from the actual vehicle specifications, the vehicle information stored in the forward recognition camera may be incorrect. Replace the forward recognition camera.
  • If the vehicle information stored in the forward recognition camera matches the actual vehicle specifications, the installed ECM is incompatible. Replace the ECM.
