Lexus ES: Wheel Speed Sensor Signal Compare Failure (C124E62)

DESCRIPTION

The skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) measures the speed of each wheel by receiving signals from each speed sensor.

These signals are used for recognizing that all four wheels are operating properly.

Therefore, signals from all wheels must be equal.

DTC No.

Procedure to clear warning lights (When not clearing DTCs)

    Procedure

    1. Repair or replacement.
    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
    3. Drive the vehicle at 11 km/h (7 mph) or more for 1 second or more to clear the warning lights.

PROCEDURE

1.

CHECK DTC

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the engine switch on (IG).

(c) Read the DTCs following the prompts on the Techstream. Enter the following menus: Chassis / Brake/EPB / Trouble Codes.

Chassis > Brake/EPB > Trouble Codes

(d) Check the details of the DTCs.

HINT:

When DTC C05001C, C05061C, C050C1C and/or C05121C are output together with DTC C124E62, inspect and repair the trouble areas indicated by DTC C05001C, C05061C, C050C1C and/or C05121C first.
