Lexus ES: Problem Symptoms Table

PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE

HINT:

  • Use the table below to help determine the cause of problem symptoms. If multiple suspected areas are listed, the potential causes of the symptoms are listed in order of probability in the "Suspected Area" column of the table. Check each symptom by checking the suspected areas in the order they are listed. Replace parts as necessary.
  • Inspect the fuses and relays related to this system before inspecting the suspected areas below.
  • When a symptom indicates that a service is malfunctioning, use the Techstream to check whether the service subscription is active.

Verify any network problems by calling the Lexus Customer Assistance Center and select prompt for "Lexus Enform with Safety Connect"

"Unable to Connect the Emergency Call Center" or "Unable to Connect to the Call Center" message is played

Explain to the customer that the system is in shipping mode, and confirm whether or not they would like to change to active mode
