DESCRIPTION
These DTCs are stored when the CAN communication system is malfunctioning.

U0140 | Lost Communication with Body Control Module | The vehicle approaching speaker controller does not receive data from the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) for approximately 10 seconds or more. |

U0293 | Lost Communication with Hybrid/EV Powertrain Control Module | The vehicle approaching speaker controller does not receive data from the hybrid vehicle control ECU for approximately 10 seconds or more. |

PROCEDURE
1. | CHECK FOR DTC |
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the power switch on (IG).
(c) Turn the Techstream on.
(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Vehicle Proximity Notification System / Trouble Codes.
(e) Check for DTCs.

When DTCs indicating a CAN communication system malfunction are output, perform troubleshooting for the CAN communication system before the vehicle proximity notification system.
