INSTALLATION
CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT
NOTICE:
- Do not remove/install the spiral cable with sensor sub-assembly with the auxiliary battery connected and the engine switch (for Gasoline Model) or power switch (for HV Model) on (IG).
- Do not rotate the spiral cable with sensor sub-assembly without the steering wheel assembly installed, with the auxiliary battery connected and the engine switch (for Gasoline Model) or power switch (for HV Model) on (IG).
- Ensure that the steering wheel assembly is installed and aligned straight when inspecting the steering sensor.
PROCEDURE
1. INSTALL NO. 1 SWITCH WIRE

2. INSTALL SHIFT PADDLE SWITCH (TRANSMISSION SHIFT SWITCH ASSEMBLY)

3. INSTALL NO. 1 STEERING WHEEL ORNAMENT
| (a) Engage the pin to install the No. 1 steering wheel ornament. |

(b) Install the 2 screws.
4. INSTALL STEERING PAD SWITCH ASSEMBLY

5. INSTALL HEATED STEERING WHEEL CONTROLLER (STEERING VIBRATION ECU)

6. ALIGN FRONT WHEELS FACING STRAIGHT AHEAD
7. INSPECT AND ADJUST SPIRAL CABLE WITH SENSOR SUB-ASSEMBLY

8. INSTALL STEERING WHEEL ASSEMBLY
| (a) Align the matchmarks on the steering wheel assembly and steering main shaft to install the steering wheel assembly. |

(b) Using a 10 mm hexagon socket wrench, install the steering wheel assembly set bolt.
Torque:
62 N·m {632 kgf·cm, 46 ft·lbf}
(c) Connect each connector to the spiral cable with sensor sub-assembly and steering wheel assembly.

10. INSTALL HORN BUTTON ASSEMBLY

Do not remove the radiator cap sub-assembly or radiator drain cock plug while
the engine and radiator assembly are still hot. Pressurized, hot engine coolant
and steam may be released and cause serious burns.
