Lexus ES: AWD Warning does not Come ON

PROCEDURE

1.

CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR

(a) Check that there is no looseness at the locking and connecting parts of the 4WD ECU assembly connector.

OK:

No looseness at the locking and connecting parts

(b) Disconnect the G131 4WD ECU assembly connector.

(c) Check the connector case and the terminal for deformation and corrosion.

OK:

No deformation or corrosion

(d) Connect the G131 4WD ECU assembly connector.

NG

REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

OK

2.

CHECK 4WD WARNING MESSAGE

(a) Turn the engine switch off.

(b) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(c) Turn the engine switch on (IG).

(d) Turn the Techstream on.

(e) According to the display on the Techstream, read the Data List.
